I do NOT recommend Dr. Maxine Vu to anyone who values professionalism and empathy in their dentist. She may be skilled at procedural work, but she lacks the requisite social skills to make her patients feel comfortable and respected. She is rude, insensitive, and manipulative, and she does not deserve your trust or your business. I have been a loyal, respectful patient of Dr. Maxine Vu for the past four years. I went in for a routine dental check-up this week and previously had good experiences in her dental practice, so I was looking forward to another pleasant experience. However, I was deeply disappointed and offended by her lack of professionalism and empathy. Dr. Vu did a decent job with the cleaning and the examination, but she made me feel very uncomfortable throughout the appointment. She constantly asked me personal and intrusive questions about my financial situation, such as how much I earned, where I lived, and whether I still depended on my parents. She also belittled me for having difficulties paying my bill in full, due to some recent hardships that I had faced. She also tried to pressure me into agreeing to some procedures that were not fully covered by my insurance, such as x-rays and a crown. She said that they would improve my appearance and confidence, as one of my teeth was discoloring due to the death of the root/nerve, and that I should invest in myself more. She implied that I was not taking good care of my teeth and that I needed to spend more money on them. She did not explain the financial risks or specific concerns pertaining to my insurance’s limited coverage or non-coverage of these procedures clearly, nor did she respect my right to decline them. I felt very insulted and humiliated by Dr. Vu's behavior. She did not treat me with dignity or respect, but rather with contempt and condescension. She made me feel like I was not worthy of her time or attention, and that I was a burden to her practice. She did not show any compassion or understanding for my situation but rather judged me harshly and unfairly. Ultimately, I was forced to stand up from the dental chair and excuse myself before the conclusion of my visit, as I could not tolerate Dr. Vu’s unprovoked, poignant comments, which clearly demonstrated to me that she did not value my well-being just her ego and profits. I am sharing this experience with you because I want to warn you about Dr. Vu and her unethical practices. I also want to encourage you to find a dentist who will treat you with kindness and respect, and who will provide you with honest and transparent information about your dental health and options. I hope you will never have to go through what I went through with Dr. Vu. If you do, please know that you are not alone and that you deserve better. .
Everything he has done needs to be repaired. If you need basic cleaning your fine but caps and fillings.....nope! Go somewhere else.
She did an amazing job with my upper bridges when she was practicing in Brooklyn. I have been trying to find her for the LONGEST, since she relocated. I have a little more work to do, and I can't wait to get in touch with her. Roy Lindsay.

My experience with this dental office was very bad. They reccommend things that aren't needed and then over charge you..
