Incredibly unprofessional. I went only due to proximity and regret my decision when they refused to clean my teeth and had the dental hygienist diagnose dental issues. Then they told me they would remove the charge for x-rays and then never did and refused to. Avoid this mess..
"I had a distressing experience with Dr. Dustin Dial at Comfort Dental. I initially went to have a chipped crown repaired, and Dr. Dial recommended placing another crown on it. However, as soon as the numbing wore off, I experienced excruciating pain and noticed a noticeable gap between the crown and my gum line. Upon closer inspection, it was clear that my root was exposed. I returned to Comfort Dental four times in total, seeking resolution to this issue, but unfortunately, they did not take responsibility for the problem. Instead, they provided a temporary fix, applying a coating of something that only temporarily alleviated the pain. I was left unable to chew and in constant agony, a situation I had never experienced before. Dr. Dial and the staff insisted that 'sometimes teeth die. Also every time I ate food got stuck and was painful. I would strongly advise against seeking dental care from Dr. Dustin Dial at Comfort Dental, as my experience was marked by excruciating pain, a lack of accountability, and the need to pay another dentist to fix their mistake. First, I moved here from Iowa and was in the process of getting my teeth/mouth checked there. I had a few x-rays and appointments before moving here Oct 2022. The initial appointment: When I went, I was told a whole lot of information at once and was told multiple times there was bone loss and I would have to do 3-4 different appointments and they focused very hard on the bone loss. The appointments I had in Iowa; no one had mentioned this to the level of extremity Preferred Dental was pushing. So I decided not to move forward with them for my future appointments. Me, Alexander. Let's talk about my partner now, since they called her over MY review. She went in because she had really bad tooth pain. She had a tooth extraction, and another tooth they put a filling in. They prescribed her Tylenol-3 even though she stated she was allergic to morphine(Tylenol-3 is Codine, which is a Morphine Derivative) and she had an allergic reaction to the point we had to visit the ER. She then had another appointment where she had a couple more fillings put in. She then started having extreme pain, when they scheduled her they said "the bite was too large" so they shaved it down. Afterwards, she was in even more pain, so they did a root canal. The filling fell out again. She made a new appointment and asked for nothing to be put in the tooth and they still proceeded to fill the tooth. Guess what happened, she's in pain again. She called to schedule another appointment 7/11, and we had a family emergency, but she had another one scheduled for 7/27 for something entirely different. She called today 7/12 to confirm the appointment from 7/27 was there still scheduled and they told her they canceled 7/27 when they scheduled 7/11's appointment. That's why the review was left. However SHE received a call about my review and was told that the numbers for my Google account matched, when in fact they don't. So to sum it up: 1) Their bedside manner is awful, they really pressured myself to get work done that's never been mentioned to me by other doctors and mostly ignored the one problem I went in there for. 2) My partner has been in there 4 times to get something fixed and their work is causing her pain. 3) They prescribed her something she was allergic too which almost killed her. We had to go to the ER. 4) They cancel a separate appointment that was for a different reason without explanation..
Frisbie fitted a crown on me that barely made it to the absolute minimum time of 5 years! The crown was very expensive and should have lasted a lot longer. Frisbie is very arrogant and did not offer any solution to the problem without going to court!.
Dr. Thurman purchased a dental practice in Alamosa, CO in 2015. The previous owner practiced biological dentistry (he calls it holistic dentistry). When pressed to actually seek biocompatible materials for my wife's denture he took the easy way out and dropped us from his practice, all with a smile in his communications with us. I don't know if he misrepresented himself to Dr. Vandawalle, or whether he was the best she could find, but he is neither holistic nor biocompatible in his approach..
I tell all my friends, coworkers and family about Dr. Longo! She is great and does everything she can to help you keep your teeth and gums in great shape..
