The only reason I went here instead of my old dentist is because I moved and this was closer. Big mistake. I went for a cleaning and everything was fine, the lady at the reception desk told me I should be charged about $30 for the cleaning after calculating a few things, which really was supposed to be covered by my insurance, but whatever. She didn't make me pay for it up front, and I had to go back for fillings in a few days. After my fillings I went back to the counter and the lady whipped out her calculator again telling me now I would "probably" owe about $50. I said okay thanks and thinking I would get a bill after it went through my insurance, she looked at me like I was crazy and said I needed to pay it up front. I told her I didn't pay up front for the cleaning can't you just send a bill? She told me that "they do not send bills." Seriously? I have never had a dentist refuse to send me a bill. She made me sign a form saying that I would call in a payment that day! I wanted to wait until I got the bill in the mail to see what I really owed. The office called me several times before I got my bill to remind me I owed them money. No really?! I finally got my bill, which was really $116 and with intentions of sending in a payment I get a call the next week from them again telling me that I signed a form and agreed to pay the whole thing! I told them I would send in a payment. Then they told me that all payments for services are due up front...apparently it was in something that I signed, but of course you sign paperwork without inspecting it , and it was probably in fine print, and not once did someone SAY this to me before having work done, which would have been nice. Bottom line, if you can't pay up front with this place, don't bother! I have never been treated like that before, and they made me feel like I was some sort of scum who didn't pay their bills..
I have been going to this dentis for a few months now. The ONLY reason I go to this dentist is because it is 5 min from my house and right nwxt door to the sitter. I was very nervous to go to the dentist seeings how I hadn't been in about 10 years. I had a lot of cavities and a few broken teeth. My first visit was very pleasant. The nurse was very gentle and sweet. The dentist was very fast and did a great job. Then I went for my first visit. They looked at me like I was a big baby while getting the novacain. I have NEVER experienced such pain while getting novacain. Dr. Francis being the only dentist in the office was also working on about 4 other paitents. He would do something to me, leave me there for about 20-45 min while working on someone else. Other than that everything was ok. He also does white filling which I LOVE!! The next visit was with an asian women. She was HORRIBLE!!! Her and her assistant were very unprofessional. They were chit chatting about their weekend and what their plans were for the following weekend. I didnt like them one bit. Not to mention she gave me silver fillings. Then I had 2 more visits left. I went to my next one. They had an intern in there. Dr. Francis was very rude to her. Making her look young and dumb. I felt very bad for the young lady. When leaving there were about 3 girls at the front desk. All whomed to be on the phones chatting up about their personal lives. I was asked if I could just go home and they would call me with my next appt. Needless to say they never called. I can NOT wait for my last visit. I will NEVER go back there. Not even for a cleaning!.
