Sad part is the original Dr. Bontrager is a wonderful dentist. Nice, courteous, and very story oriented. Loves to speak about Alaska and the truth is I liked to hear about it very much. One day I became very ill around the time the Pandemic was just starting but not yet the Pandemic we know now. I called and had to cancel telling them I was very ill and did not know what was wrong. They cancelled it and later told me if I ever wanted to make another appointment I would need to put down a deposit. I had been going there for years and could not believe they were saying this to me. I have never owed them a penny when I left the office and if so it was do to insurance adjusting and I would make up the difference as soon as notified. Not because it was them but because I don't place my debts on the backburner. I said you would be willing to lose a customer that has been with you for years because I called in and now require a down payment for all services not yet rendered!? Well I told her.
Though I had something akin to an emergency, I attempted to make an appointment via the dentist's webpage. After 4 days with no response, I called. I explained my situation, replied that it would be out-of-pocket payment (no insurance), and I was told that the dentist's policy requires an thorough exam, full x-rays, and the dentist would then determine the course of action to be taken at subsequent visits. I have no problem with an exam and x-rays. However, there's no practical that my newly missing fillings can't be replaced upon completion of x-rays. The dentist's total lack of concern for my current, painful situation shall preclude me from ever calling on her for dental "CARE"..
Not once but twice my daughter had an Emergency Situation with needing extractions immediately. "Trouble loosing baby teeth" Mrs Bontrager along with her amazing staff has always took my daughter right in and treated her with Kindness, Caring and Reasurring her she would feel better soon. Today was 1 of those days. I highly recommend Mrs Bontrager for all dental needs for children as well as adults. I thank u from the bottom of my heart Mrs Monica, u are the best. K. Segree's family..
First of all I'd like to say that Dr.Laura is really great, she explains a lot, she tells you what she's doing, she asks before a procedure. She's super patient and great with children. My daughter wasn't afraid to come back to do fillings. The staff in the clinic is friendly and welcoming. So for Dr. Laura I'd give five stars. But I've had bad experience with a tooth extraction where I felt like I was cheated. Because I don't have an insurance and pay everything out of my pocket it's really important to me to know the price of the procedure beforehand so I can manage it into my family budget. But in the end I was told to pay double the price of what was an estimated price and to do the xray that i wasn't expecting . If I knew the total price before the procedure I'd do my best to shop around and make a decision based on prices in few clinics. So for that experience my rating is two stars. Bristol Dental is a dental clinic that provided emergency treatment and expert consultation to my 5 year old daughter. It happened about 4 months back, and I must say that my daughter observed healing right after the first consultation..
Dr. Thomas is absolutely terrific, I've been going here for almost 10 year and have nothing but great things to say about her and her staff..
