**Setting aside my "bonus points" for the well behaved & adorable dogs the DR. brings to work.** PLFD is exceptionally clean (and cozy), staff is friendly , and I was pre-quoted for work future dental work that they recommended. Nothing was sprung on me which was certainly appreciated..
When I was young I fell and ended up breaking two teeth pretty badly. I was rushed in to the dentist. There was a mix up and they started working on my mouth before I had been properly numbed / deadened. Eventually they discovered their mistake, but the damage was done. Ever since then, because I was so young, I’ve had an extreme amount of anxiety when going to the dentist. I tell you this so you know where I am coming from when I tell you that Dr. Garcia and her staff make me actually look forward to going to see the dentist. When you walk in you are warmly greeted by faces that have been there for a long time and have gotten to know you. The oral hygienists have always been aware of my discomfort and were gentle and understanding; they never rushed me and always made me feel like I was in control. I have been going to see Dr. Garcia for over a decade now. The level of care has only improved. Every recommendation she has made along the way has been given with my best interest in mind versus what was best for her pocket book. This is a rare quality to find in others and speaks volumes about how her business is run; patients first. You simply cannot go wrong by choosing Dr. Garcia as your dentist..
I have noticed that the Parmer Dentistry hires inexperienced doctors, newly graduated ones. I don't want to list all these doctors but all the doctors I had met there didn't know what they were doing. I will mention my latest one here since I spent most of my time with her. The Dr. Kunjumary was very friendly. However, I don't feel like she was competent as well as her dental assistant. I had a crown done from her. She put the crown on my tooth while it still had cavity, which I found out from other doctor I recently visited thru X-ray. I also had suffered so much pain because the crown didn't fit with my other teeth even though I visited her office more than 20 times and complained for pain. A few month later after I visited her last time, I had to go for other doctor in a different office and got my crown done all over again and paid full price there. I am very satisfied with my crown now and feel no pain. Hiring inexperienced doctors is fine but they also need experience ones so that inexperienced ones can learn from their seniors. The Parmer dentist had only inexperienced ones and the doctors there seemed to be lost. I'm not sure how they run there now but before you make an appointment, please check their doctor's bio..
Dr. Mathews is wonderful. He is extremely nice, professional, gentle and understanding. Although my teeth were in too bad of shape to get veneers....
Dr. Mathews is caring and competent. He is quite an artist as well. My crowns look great.....
