I had gone to Dr. Kanozak until he retired and Dr. Logan trained with Dr. Kanozak and he is wonderful. He has invested in the practice and has a cool new camera that caught a problem with a filling before it got too big. I did not have the opportunity to meet Dr Logan so I cannot say anything negative about him, However, when I made the appointment I told his secretary that I had delta dental and offered to send a copy of my insurance card. After driving from New Harbor which is an hour and half away I was told that he did accept Delta Dental but I would have to pay an additional fee because I had a PPO and not a Premier plan. She also had no idea what the additional fee would be and stated that it was my responsibility to check with Delta Dental. Had I been told this in advance I would have not made the appointment. The only reason I had made an appointment this far from my home because it was a referral from a doctor in Damariscotta who told me about Dr Logan and how he was a young doctor trying to establish a practice. I wonder how many other patients this secretary has cost him?.
My son went in for a removal and filling. I told them before hand that he had been traumatized a couple years early by having to have his stomach pumped and being strapped in a gurney and held down my 5 nurses. They would not allow me in the room due to insurance reasons. My son was screaming for 20 minutes in there. The doctor comes out and says my son is throwing fits and not acting his age. Hello what part of traumatized didn't he get? And what part of being artistic didn't he understand!.
From the very beginning my experience was quite positive. My whole family received a free first visit and x-rays. I liked that I knew how much I was going to pay for my teeth upfront and could make a budget. I do not have dental insurance and for those of you who don t as well, know that dental visits are costly. I found that there fees were competitive and that I could come in and make payments. Everyone has been friendly and there work has been wonderful. Even as my husband being a new patient and need work done quickly they even were able to work with him. They worked well with my 10 year old as well..
The entire staff at the Augusta office displays the high level of professionalism and respect that is often overlooked in the business world today. I am grateful for their kindness and especially want to express my gratitude for Dr. Barker and Tammy. Dr. Barker exemplifies the meaning of skilled dentistry. HIs gentle demeanor, provides a relaxed experience for any patient. Tammy is a terrific lady who tactfully manages the patient s business. I will and have recommended this office and staff to anyone that has complimented my smile..
Have not yet, had much of any interaction with the dentist, but the hygienist, Laurie, rocks. She is very personable & gentle. She listens, as well as offers advise to keep improving your oral health! She is very proactive & yet understands the limits of your life & finances. And, NO GUILT...gotta love that!
