Best Dentist Ever! I followed Dr. Shawn from Cherry Hill to Atco. He is honest, professional with a great sense of humor. Comfortable dental chairs with tv. A great experience..
I see a lot of negative reviews, but this has been my family dentist for as long as I can remember and I (and my family) have never had any issues. The dental hygienists are friendly and thorough and the dentists (although I only ever see about 3 minutes of them) are good. I suppose the only thing I could say is the dentist's "bed side manor" could be approved upon. Sometimes they can be a bit quick and lax on explanation, however they ARE busy and will usually stop and re-explain if asked..
This dental office maintains a very caring and qualified staff of dentists and office staff. I have never been unhappy with the work done at this office, however it will be tarnished by what occurred today. The fees expressed to me while in the chair before the work was done, changed when I got to the payment desk. ($170 grew to $300). Two older fillings were "fixed", not totally replaced.) Years ago, when I had a better dental plan, I used this dental office for my entire family, but my dental plan like so many others, changed for the worse. 10 years ago, my dental plan and carrier was changed to one of those plans where the "better" dentists are not part of the care physicians. That said, I have been using different dentists throughout these past 10 years and have been very unhappy with them. I decided to go back to my original dentist, and simply pay the fee myself, forgoing my current stinky DMO dental plan. Let's face it, we all want dental work done by the most qualified and talented dentists, and the DMO plans today simply do not take this into consideration. It is to nobody's surprise that many dental plans today favor the use of lesser quality dentists, hence my decision to revisit my old dentist, and simply pay the fee myself. During my visit, I did indeed find the same quality and care I was accustom to 10 years ago, but I've never had to pay as much as I did today for the work done. I expressed discontent, but the staff informed me that the fees they charge are in line with the area in which I reside. This should not be the reason for determining their prices, but it is what it is. My main dissatisfaction was the way the fee was expressed to me before the work started...I expressed concern to the dentist since I had made the decision to NOT use the dental office recommended by my dental plan. Perhpas if I search, I will find other quality dentists that charges less, or ones that do not base their fees on the demographics of the town I reside near. I guess you just have to find them, and above all, insist on knowing the charges before the work is done..
Going to this dentist was great, but they messed up with sending me notification that my insurance didn't cover my bill. Every time I tried to take care of getting the claim resubmitted, they office person would change how many times and ways I was notified, and that it was my responsibility to pay because of the time that was wasted the 1st 6 months when they were sending notification to my old address..
I recently went to go get three teeth filled. Well, The next day after getting those three teeth filled, I started having and am still having severe toothaches on a tooth that they had told me a few weeks ago was decayed. I looked at it, and now it is all brown, and I do not appreciate the fact that they knew what was wrong with it and knew it should have came out. And did nothing about it. They didn't pull it out or anything. I haven't been able to sleep or eat in a few days now. I called the emergency number that they have listed on their answering machine, my mom left a message and we received no phone call back. I am now at the point where I cannot help but cry because of the pain, I get extremely dizzy, bad earaches along with the toothache..
Went in for consultation, explained up front that I would probably need surgery, made me get x-rays, told me my isurance would cover for it, then billed me for a 5minute talk telling me he could not help me and then insurance did not cover. I would highly recommend going else where..
