I'm having a terrible experience with Dr. Shakeel. The dental work was ok, but the billing department is bordering on criminal. After 6 months, I still haven't received back the $500 they wanted up front for a supposed "emergency" procedure. Insultingly, they blame it on the insurance. However, that is far from the truth. After 1 month, the claim hadn't been submitted. After 2 months, they submitted the paperwork with incorrect ADA coding. After 3 months, they resubmitted it with the exact same incorrect codes. After 4 months, Dr. Shakeel personally resubmitted the claim with... you bet it, the exact same incorrect codes. Their negligence leaves me shaking my head. They won't return phone calls, they won't talk with the insurance company (even though the insurance company called them while I was on hold), and they wouldn't do even 5 minutes of research to find the correct codes. After 5 months, I talked with another dentist office to ask what codes they would use. Not surprisingly, they suggested different codes. I relayed this to Dr. Shakeel's office, and they botched the next claim by not providing all of the relevant information. Finally, after 6 months the claim was submitted with the proper coding that I had to provide. Why is it necessary for a customer to provide them with the correct coding? I shouldn't have any idea what an ADA code is if they were doing their work right. What's worse, is Dr. Shakeel's office just now refunded me only half of the $500 I gave them up front. Why? They won't explain. I was told Dr. Shakeel would call me back today, but he didn't. I even called at 4:00 pm to ask if he still planned on calling, and I was assured he would call back. Once again, he did not call back. To make a long rant short, I am one step away from filing legal action. Humana assured me that all of the services were covered under my plan, and that I owe $0. Please AVOID Dr. Shakeel's office, and do not reward him for negligent work..
I had a very good experience with all the staff of Elite Dentistry.They are all very professional,kind and friendly.They all know their jobs very well and I appreciate their hardworking..

This office is only interested in the $$$ they can make.........whether or not you actually need braces is irrelevant. Staff is not even knowledgeable on the different products or services the office has to offer. Right hand does not know what the left is doing. Very poor customer service, I would not recommend this office at all!!.
