I have gone to this dentist for several years and had an "ok" experience. Yesterday, I was taken in by scare tactics and massively overcharged for a service. Six times the going rate for what i actually got in terms of service! I discovered this after I got home and did some research online. Research I couldn't do as I sat in the dentist's chair being told I needed this treatment and being handed a bill to approve before they would continue. Turns out all I really needed was a good cleaning. That's what I came there for. That and an exam. I was never actually seen by the dentist, nor did I have my actual teeth evaluated. What I got was screwed. I have asked that they rebate my account for the egregious charge. I've gotten no response. Greed rather than care. No wonder our healthcare system is such a mess..
It was the worst dental experience of my life. I have been to Dentists all over the country. Dr. Jackson is unethical and terrible. They will try to up-sell things you DO NOT NEED and they will still charge you for the appointment. I walked out paying $94 for exams. They refused to give me a regular cleaning. I do not need a deep cleaning. I just saw a dentist 1 year ago and he said my teeth and gums were great. .

I work at Neighborhood Smiles Belleville and I love my job. Dr. Shih is an excellent dentist that consistently does what?s right for all her patients. One of the best parts of my job is having opportunities to give back to the community. We volunteered a day in our office to help children in our own town for ?Give Kids a Smile 2013. It feels great to help people that need help. Things like that, plus having the best patients and fun coworkers makes coming to work easy. I work at Neighborhood Smiles Belleville and I love my job. Dr. Ryan is such a wonderful dentist. Growing up, I went to a dentist that never explained what my treatment plan was going to be, and that made me hate going to the dentist. I was a patient of Dr. Ryan's in La Crosse, WI when I was in undergrad and he changed my opinion on going to the dentist because he took the time to figure out what I could change. Now that I'm living in Madison I am still able to be a patient of Dr. Ryan's at the Belleville office. I definitely recommend Dr. Ryan! Dr. Ryan is such a wonderful dentist. Even though I work in dentistry, it can be tough to convince family members to follow through on care. My husband LOVED his visit with you. He wants to fly cross country to have you do his dental work. Thanks Dr. Shih.
