How Patients Feel
POSITIVEPatient Reviews
2Good dentist, but rather expensive. Appointments made for work are for initial consult only, paid on site, then the appointment for the work done is scheduled separately. If you cancel you appointment in advance of 24 hours, you are charged a $50 fee. Even if you have insurance, you are billed for half the work on the day of service, and you still receive a bill in the mail for more money when the insurance company doesn't pay all of the other half. If you don't have insurance, cash is accepted but no discounts are necessarily given. Payment is still accepted upon demand, even if it was just to look at your mouth and reschedule the actual work appointment. Dr. Oubre is a great dentist, but seems short on patience with his staff, who seem to change frequently, and he often seems ready for the procedure to conclude quickly. One porcelain crown, which was made on site, cracked the first day and because not all three roots could be removed, later the root was infected. The initial root canal and crown cost over $3000 dollars, and later insurance ended resulting in being forced to have the tooth removed. One thing I can say that Dr. Oubre is great at, is pulling teeth! But if you don't have insurance, you may want to find a different dentist.
