1This was my first visit to Castle dental. I've heard many horror stories but Castle dental is one of the primary dentists for my dental insurance company Assurant. 1) Receptionists were too busy gossping to notice me. 2) I can't comment on his skill as a doctor since it was just a first visit doing routine checkup. But he was cold and very business like. 3) I was asked to do cancer screening for $168 or sign a waiver. (this is new to me but it might be a normal thing) 4) I was asked to do deep cleaning for $665 + 85 per after care visit. I asked to do just the regular cleaning that my insurance covers and they refused. I asked why not and they said they just can't. 5) I asked if they can transfer my xrays to my new doctor (which I'll be looking as soon as my new dental plan goes in effect), they said there is $35 transfer fee. This is also new to me.

3At my most recent appointment, upon arrival, Dr. Trujillo became upset that I took up 2 hours of her time because I was scheduled for crown work which I wasn\'t aware of- clearly a miscommunication. She proceeded to ignore my statements about not wanting to pay out of pocket for X-rays and exam she insisted on performing.. If you are going to retain good ratings, do not challenge your customers\' needs; do not try to intimidate them into treatment services on the spot. Just be professional.
