Rude and felt unsafe. I was recommended to Dr. Putman’s office and was immediately struck by the physical aspect of the office being a cabin, the surrounding creek and dogs that go to work. But no matter how cute a place is, no one should get treated poorly, especially in a medical environment. I went in for a filling, and when finished, it felt like I was biting on a rock. Dr. Putman said it might be because I was numb. After the numbness went away the filling was still so incredibly high. I wanted to come back in for an adjustment as soon as possible because the office was closing for an entire week. They put me on the schedule at the end of the day, the following day, which was their last day before they closed for the week. I imagine the feeling of being done for the day and wanting to be off for the week. As soon as Dr. Putman walked in she said “came in right when we’re closing huh?” I immediately felt uncomfortable and felt myself shutting down. I felt a roughness from.
excellent care and cleaning by April. Dr. Putnams office is clean, professional, and cheerful. services offered up to date and appear to have newest technology. my first visit with Dr. Putnam and staff was a pleasant experience. wait time was about 2 minutes..
Great doctor & staff!.
ABSOLUTELY UNPROFESSIONAL! I had an upper plate made by dr Councill. I paid extra to have it made digitally so it could be replaced without going through the process of dental casting again. I’ve contacted his office manager via phone three times without receiving any response other than he’s looking into it. I’ve now sent an email directly to Dr Councill and have received no response after 7 days. This is a disgusting display of unprofessional as well as a complete lack of common courtesy one human should give another. I left the clinic initially because his technician and front desk help were very rude. (Neither is employed there anymore). Now due to his hurt ego. I’ll have to spend $8-$10,000 to have a new plate made..

After procrastinating the dreaded trip to the dentist for way too long, I knew that it was time when part of my “regimented” dental care was to avoid hot and cold food items. Yes, a bad sign, I know. I knew that this was not going to be a simple quick cleaning, followed by, “If everyone had teeth like these, it would put me out of business”, as a dentist once told my 65-year old mother. I had just moved to the Asheville area and began the “dreaded” search through my insurance. I must admit that my search criteria at the time was “no freeway”, “fewest stoplights”, and finding parking during my lunch hour. This very “calculated” search lead me to Dogwood Dental in the Biltmore Village. “Cool,” I thought, ”I can at least do some window shopping on the way and then stop at Starbucks on the way back.” Yes, priorities! (Ha!) Oh my, what a pleasant surprise! Dr. Councill (and his very kind staff) set me at ease right away. Although I was 100% correct on the state of my teeth, Dr. Councill provided an economical treatment plan the first day outlining all of the issues (and benefits) without the scolding I was sure I would receive (yes, childhood memories resurfacing). All my questions: answered thoroughly and patiently. The equipment: state-of-the art. The staff: very attentive. Thanks again, Dogwood Dental, for turning “the dreaded trip” into a true health investment. See you at my next check up….
