Very bad experience several years ago that's creating a big and expensive problem now. I had a crown placed on a tooth that needed a root canal. After the cap was placed and glued, there was still a noticeable gap between the new cap and the gum line. The dentist immediately had me sign something (while in the dentists operating chair) stating that I "wouldn't sue him!" I went back and he said he could not do anything! Complete waste of my time and money. Now I'm battling one of the worst infections one can encounter. I'll never go back..
I help out an 82-year old neighbor, and was advised by his nurse to go to Doubeks, that they would assist us with medical supplies that Medicare covers. I asked the saleswoman how much would be covered on a portable commode and toilet handrail. She immediately stated, "Medicare doesn't cover it." My neighbor paid cash. He still has never used it. In speaking with another person, I was told that Medicare does cover 80% of the cost with a doctor's order. I checked on Medicare.gov, and sure enough, they do. My 82-year old neighbor was denied a refund by the manager, John Stanley, and said all his salespeople are well-versed on what Medicare covers and we never would have been told that. I can understand not granting a refund for such an item, as the receipt states. But, we were misled by the saleswoman, whether intentionally or not. If Doubeks makes sure all their salespeople know the Medicare policy as Mr. Stanley insisted, then we were misled intentionally. We encourage you to not even consider shopping here. Rooking an 82-year old man.....really!!.
