I'm in the middle of a extremely painful emergency. I'm insured and was told I would have to pay the $220 balance for the out of pocket if I want treatment. I don't have it and offered $50 as down payment. I WAS REFUSED TREATMENT and told my appointment is cancelled. It amazed me that they already knew what treatment I need and was able to predict exactly how much out of pocket expenses would be. My insurance covers 80% on something's and 100% on other things. This doctor has completely forgotten his responsibility for his profession. He's dropped this ethos for patient care and money is clearly more important. It's morally wrong. My grandfather was a doctor and NEVER refused treatment if someone couldn't pay up front.
