Painful. Everything was fine until I let Dr Modrell redo an old filling .... it was painful from start to finish and I'll need another dentist to try to remedy the situation as I still have sensitivity. Dr Modrell doesn't do complex procedures in any event, so be prepared to be referred if you need anything out of the ordinary. Her office proceeded to charge hundreds of dollars on top of insurance. When I complained to the office staff, they were way too polished in dealing with this sort of complaint, like it happens all the time. UCSF dental school lost a bit of credibility with me... I feel they train dentists to treat patients like cattle, no accountability to the patient, any dentist within the practice can treat any patient, and referrals / dentist schedule changes are all too frequent..
She is a very caring and thorough doctor. I needed ALOT of work done when I first started with Dr. Modrell...but now I have nice looking teeth and feel much better about my oral care. The office has very friendly hygienists and staff...that have been there for a long time (a good work environment).
My experience with Dr. Modrell has consistently been first rate. She is an empathetic professional that is conservative in her approach and absolutely thorough in her treatment protocol..
I started my braces in Denver and then relocated to California. Dr. Majeroni finished my orthodontic treatment and he is the best! He got my treatment done so quickly and my result is amazing!! Cheers to Dr. Majeroni and his amazing team!.

My daughter Ashley went to Dr. Majeroni for the 2 1/2 years that she wore braces. After the first appointment my daughter was very impressed with Dr. Majeroni and it was obvious to me that his personality and humor would be a great fit for Ashley. Like any teenage girl, Ashley hoped to have her braces off as soon as possible. Dr. Majeroni kept us very up to date on her progress and told us that she would need the braces a little longer for her teeth to come out "just right...." When the day came that Ashley got her braces off…Ashley and my wife and I could not believe how beautiful her teeth were! I am so glad that we chose Dr. Majeroni, because now my daughter has a stunning smile for the rest of her life!
